Welcome to the Wabasha Bicycle Club!

The Wabasha Bicycle Club began as most things do as a loose group of folks finding a common interest. It just happened to be that this merry band of men noticed that after cleaning off many years of dust and cob webs off their old steel bikes they were still able to get the wheel rolling and keep them upright. The first “club” ride is reported to be in the summer of 1998 when a group of daring individuals completed the upper prairie. From this momentous start they set their goal to ride across IOWA in RAGBRAI in the summer of 1999. The founding members adopted theRAGBRAIteam name “JOKERS WILD”

One thing tends to lead to another and today the Wabasha Bicycle Club has over 100 members and rides nearly every Saturday, RAGBRAI, and many other club events. The common goal remains cycling with a tendency to seek out the next pub along the many and varying routes. We have many different abilities in the club and our rides never leave anyone behind.
